August 28, 2025: A beautiful kitten walks into our home and says, “Hello, I live here now.”
She is small. We think she is around 6 months old. Eventually, we name her Nyx after the Greek goddess of the night, forged from chaos.
Shade and Luna are not amused.
September 29, 2025: A veterinarian informs us that Nyx is pregnant and due in 2-3 weeks. Also she is not quite 1 year old. Much older than we assumed.
Kittens are due in the next week or 2! We’ve prepared a private and comfortable nest for Nyx. Now, we wait.

    Looks like she walked in the right home! Can’t wait to see your kitty “grandkids” LOL My sister is a magnet for cats visiting her and never leaving.

    Cats ALWAYS pick their people. We had the same scenario growing up we called her Dorphan the orphan. (Always a ‘D’ in our house David, Darlene, Dianna and Dawna. Mom said it eliminated the rest of the alphabet and potential arguments when choosing names.
