What I Learned About Solopreneur Success (After 31 Days of Blogging)

Discover six powerful solopreneur success strategies I learned after 31 days of blogging—from mindset and marketing to self-care and sustainability.

Spread the Love

July was a whirlwind.

I showed up every day to blog—some days with a plan, other days flying by the seat of my ergonomic desk chair. And after 31 days, one thing is crystal clear:

Solopreneur success isn’t about hustle.

It’s about intention.

It’s about alignment.

And doing business in a way that actually fits your life.

This month, I wrote and podcasted about everything from emotional resilience to sleep patches. I talked mindset, money, marketing, and more. I shared interviews with brilliant thought-leaders who’ve faced adversity, pivoted careers, launched movements, and built businesses from their kitchen tables.

Here’s what it all added up to:

1. Micropreneurs Are the Real Powerhouses

Forget the VC-backed startups and 6-figure funnels. Micropreneurs—those of us intentionally keeping our businesses lean and life-aligned—are the ones making real impact.

Freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment are not side effects; they are the goal.
We aren’t building empires. We’re building sustainable lives.

2. Mindset Isn’t Fluff. It’s the Engine.

Want better results? Start with your inner dialogue.

Want more peace? Start with emotional resilience.

Want to actually reach your goals? You have to trust yourself.

The guests I featured this month—coaches, creatives, CFOs—echoed this truth:

You can’t out-strategize a broken mindset.

3. Growth Takes Time (And That’s Groovy)

There’s a reason I keep talking about the Law of Gestation.

Whether it’s a new product, a podcast, or a complete business model shift, everything worth building takes time to incubate.

If it feels slow? That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re growing.

4. Marketing Doesn’t Have to Be Sleazy

You don’t need to fake urgency, create false scarcity, or dance for the algorithm.

You just need to care.

Relationship marketing works because it’s based on connection, conversation, and actual service—not tricks.

From podcast guesting to pitching media to handwritten notes, authentic visibility wins every time.

5. Self-Care Is a Business Strategy

Yo! If you’re not sleeping, you’re not scaling.

If you’re not nourishing your body and mind, your business will suffer.

Joy, rest, and gratitude aren’t distractions from your goals—they fuel them.

Want to be more productive? Start with a nap.

6. Community Is Non-Negotiable

Whether it’s a weekly check-in with your accountability partner or a deeply caffeinated chat inside the Robusta Small Business Percolator, one thing’s for sure:

You were not meant to do this alone.

Find your people. Lean in. Lift each other up.

It’s Not About Doing More. It’s About Doing It Better.

31 blog posts later, I’m walking away with a renewed sense of clarity and confidence. I’m doubling down on the values that matter most: sustainability, joy, authenticity, and real human connection.

And if you’re a woman over 40 trying to grow a business without losing yourself in the process?

I see you. I am you.

Let’s keep building something beautiful—on our own terms.

  1. Thank you for all your posts. I have several that I need to go back, listen to the podcasts, and digest all the information.
    See you next time!

  2. Good points and a job well done. They all help even though I am not in a business.

  3. Great points! I love what you said about how Solopreneur success isn’t about hustle
That it is about intention, alignment, and doing business in a way that actually fits your life. Early on in my business journey some coaches have gotten in my head that what was was in alignment for me was wrong. I realized that they were wrong. Those experiences helped me realize what mattered and return to myself! I have enjoyed your posts! Congratulations on completing the challenge! I hope to see you again at the next one!
