For Gratitude Geek Podcast listeners, I am taking a 3-week break from releasing interviews. Here’s why:
When Everything Falls Apart: The Website Hack Story
This year has been a masterclass in tenacity. From website hacks to podcast feed disasters, I’ve faced more obstacles than I care to count. Yet, persistence turned these setbacks into stepping stones for growth. Let me share a few highlights—and hard-earned lessons—from this wild ride.
In February, my website was hacked. This wasn’t just a minor inconvenience—it disrupted everything. My podcast feed vanished, and a clone of my show appeared on Apple Podcasts, wreaking havoc on every platform pulling from their feed.
Turning Setbacks Into Stepping Stones
Losing my website also tanked my email marketing efforts, and to top it off, I made a mistake that locked me out of my podcast’s Facebook page. It felt like a complete meltdown.
But tenacity kept me moving forward.
After months of discussions with Apple, I regained control of the duplicate feed, and my new website, kandasrodarte.com, is finally live.
Experimenting with YouTube and Upgrading Audio
This year hasn’t just been about fixing problems—it’s been about experimenting and improving.
I upgraded to a new soundboard, which has already made a big difference in audio quality.
On YouTube, I’m trying something new by clipping 5–12 minute highlights from each podcast episode as stand-alone videos.
This aligns with YouTube’s format of treating each channel as its own unique show.
While technical hiccups like lighting and audio tweaks persist, each small improvement brings me closer to the professional setup I envision.
Building Connections: Guest Appearances and Exciting Episodes
Another highlight was being a guest twice on Biz Book Broadcast with Liz Scully. Sharing my insights and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs reminded me why I love podcasting in the first place.
Over the next 2 weeks, I may tease out a few clips from these conversions as bonus episodes.
Stay tuned for Episode 252 of Gratitude Geek, featuring literacy advocate Dr. Danny Brassell. It will premiere on January 7, 2025. His passion for promoting literacy is infectious, and I can’t wait for you to hear our conversation.
The Power of Tenacity in Business
Tenacity isn’t just about resilience—it’s about showing up, learning from your mistakes, and continuing to push forward.
Whether it’s recovering from a setback or trying new strategies, persistence makes growth possible.
If you’re navigating challenges in your own business, remember this: keep going.
Every small win adds up, and your tenacity will pay off in the end.
🏆Share a small win from this past year in the comments. I’d love to celebrate with you!🏆
