Gratitude Geek Wins Two 2026 MPN Awards

Gratitude Geek host Kandas Rodarte celebrates two 2026 MPN Awards: Best MPN Show and Diversity & Inclusion. Here’s why the recognition—and the company she keeps—means so much.

Spread the Love

When I launched Gratitude Geek in 2014, I wasn’t chasing awards or recognition. I wanted to have interesting conversations with groovy people and learn new things.

Twelve years, more than 300 episodes, and one metastatic breast cancer diagnosis later, I’m still yapping (and learning).

So I am thrilled—and honestly a little flabbergasted—to share that Gratitude Geek won two 2026 Marketing Podcast Network Awards:

  • 🏆 Best MPN Show
  • 🏆 Diversity & Inclusion

I joined the Marketing Podcast Network in November 2025 because it is a community of podcasters who understand that marketing is about genuine connection—not just chasing transactions. That has always been the heart of Gratitude Geek, so being recognized by this particular community feels especially meaningful.

And yes, I am allowing myself to be a little gob smacked about the winners.

Uncensored CMO with Jon Evans won Best B2C Show and Best Marketing Show. Marketing School with Neil Patel and Eric Siu won Best Thought Leadership.

Gratitude Geek is on that winner’s list, not once but twice! Pardon me while I ungast my flabbers!

I’ve spent years making a scrappy, relationship-first show from my home office—while living an actual human life with actual human complications.

So, hell yeah, I am going to pause and appreciate this for a minute.

What this means to me

As an Asian American woman living with metastatic breast cancer, the Diversity & Inclusion award is deeply meaningful.

From the beginning, Gratitude Geek has been a place for useful conversations with people whose experiences, expertise, and paths may not fit the default setting of mainstream business media.

We have talked about marketing, visibility, business systems, chronic illness, disability, resilience, mental health, authenticity, community, and the very real work of building a business around an actual life.

I believe better business conversations happen when more people get to be heard—and when we make room for ideas beyond hustle, sameness, and performative success.

Thank you

To every guest who trusted me with their story and expertise: thank you.

To every listener who has shown up, shared an episode, sent a note, or stayed connected over the years:

Thank you.

And thank you to the Marketing Podcast Network, the judges, and everyone involved in the first MPN Awards for recognizing Gratitude Geek alongside so many excellent shows.

The awards were open to eligible marketing podcasts broadly, with judging based on factors including contribution to the craft, production quality, guests, publishing consistency, and innovation.

This is a lovely moment. I intend to revel in it.

Stay Groovy!
