The Stupid History of the TV Show Firefly

I had an absolute blast guest hosting “The Stupid History of Firefly” on The Stupid History Minute podcast. With Nathan Fillion’s animated Firefly revival in development, now felt like the perfect time to share it.

Spread the Love

Back in January, I had an absolute blast guest hosting “The Stupid History of Firefly” on The Stupid History Minute podcast, and now feels like a groovy time to share it.

Firefly’s star, Nathan Fillion, recently made a surprise announcement at Awesome Con that an animated continuation of the show is in development at 20th Television Animation, with the original cast set to reprise their roles. The whole Firefly universe is having a moment.

This is the second time I’ve been asked to guest host for The Stupid History Minute. The show’s host, Keb Pound, likes to take the month of January off and recruits his podcasting colleagues to step in for him.

Here’s how it works: we each submit three topic options, Keb picks the one he likes best and writes our script, we record, and his team produces and releases the final episode.

Last year, I covered Pomegranates, which was delightful.

Seeing as it is my favorite TV show of all time, talking about Firefly felt like a natural fit for me. I hope you’ll give the episode a listen.

Stay Groovy!
